The bar, which overlooks the terraced garden, is open to guests only, ideal for a drink before going out for dinner or a nightcap. Choose from a wide range of local malts and gins.
This spacious room with wood-burning stove serves as a breakfast room and is open at all times throughout your stay for relaxation and socialising with other guests.
Bedrooms
Each of our six bedrooms are individually named after family, friends and our first guests. Every room is different both in style and size and all have been recently refurbished. We have two double/twin rooms, two double rooms and two single rooms, sleeping twelve guests in total. Whether you are visiting for leisure or business purposes, you’ll find accommodation to suit your needs.
All rooms are en-suite, some have showers and others have a bath with a shower over. Each room also has:

Price includes full cooked breakfast. We operate a strict no-smoking policy in all our guest rooms.
Balchin’s Den – Superior double or twin
This room has a ground floor entrance and car parking at the door.
Balchin’s Den is the perfect room for guests wanting a quiet area set apart from the hustle and bustle of the main building.
The spacious room has a superior king bed, with an ingress for vanity mirror and toiletries, and can also be used as a desk for laptop as there is a comfortable chair. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, and heated towel rail. A handy feature is the large entranceway to leave bags, golf buggy, or even your mountain bike! This extra luggage area is secure, covered, and locked away with your front door key.Breakfast is delivered to your room, or can be enjoyed in the main building, a few steps away.
McGregor – Superior double or twin
This room can be used as a double or twin and a third bed can be added.
A luxuriously large room, MacGregor looks out through a bay window on to the Cluny Bank Woodlands, and is a peacefully quiet, stately room hosting a king size bed, two relaxing and compact armchairs with coffee table, free-standing wardrobe, and mirror and vanity unit with plenty of drawers for your personal items.
The bathroom has a shower over bath, toilet and vanity.
Arrol Wood – Quiet room with oversized double bed
Double room
A lovely quiet room set at the back of the hotel, Arrol Wood hosts an oversized double bed, and closet space by way of wardrobe.
Your luggage bags can fit easily under the bed in a divan drawer. Bathroom contains a free-standing shower, toilet and vanity.
On the first floor, this room has an elevated outlook on to Cluny Bank woodlands.
Henderson – Single room with a double bed
First floor
A cozy room with a double bed.
Two windows provide lovely views to the front of the building and St Leonard’s Road.
Mirror and hanging space for clothing, as well as a small vanity area, and a compact flat screen TV on the wall. Suitable for a single traveller.
Anderson – Single room with a double bed
Ground floor
Close to the bar and common rooms, Anderson is a lovely compact room suiting a single occupancy or a couple who are looking for a smaller space.
The room features a double bed, a bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity, and a built-in wardrobe for hanging clothes and storing luggage.
There is a flat-screen TV, and mirror/vanity unit with a few practical drawers.
Davies – Executive double or twin
A luxuriously large room recently refurbished into an exquisite executive or honeymoon suite.
This superior room features:
- super kingsize bed
- woodburning stove
- large bathroom with underfloor heating and a deep bath
- a double large walk-in shower with dual shower heads
- bespoke furniture, fixtures and fittings

Available for a flat rate of £200 per night, including breakfast.
Cavanagh – Master double or twin (curently unavailable)
Our largest room which can be configured as a double or twin.
Superior king size bed, flat screen TV, luxury deep corner bath and separate shower in the bathroom, as well as bidet.
Two 2-seater sofas and large oak coffee table for relaxing. Full wardrobe and chests of drawers for storage.
The room has a large bay window, which overlooks the front of the property.
Check-in/out
Our check in time is 3pm, and our check-out time is 10am.
Cancellation Policy
100% refund of deposit is returned if guest cancels greater than 7 days prior to check-in.
50% refund of deposit is returned if guest cancels between 2 and 7 days prior to check-in
No refund is given if guest cancels within 48 hours of check-in.
