Driving Directions
Exit the A96 from either direction into Forres. Follow the road onto the High Street, where in the middle, you will see the Tollbooth and Clock Tower. Turn down Tollbooth Street at the side of the building. You will come to a small roundabout; here you need to take the 2nd exit onto St Leonards Road. We are located about 500 yards on the left hand side. If you see signs for Forres Golf Course or the hospital you have gone too far. There are flowerbeds on the path at the front of the hotel. The hotel is set on the bank of Cluny Hill so is not easy to see from a driving level.
By Air
We are just 30 mins drive from Inverness Airport and about 2-hour drive from Aberdeen Airport. Inverness has daily flights from most UK cities as well as regular flights from Schiphol Airport in Holland and weekly flights to and from Geneva, Switzerland. Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are about 3 hours drive away but the scenery on the route up here makes the journey worthwhile. Taxis from Inverness airport cost about £35-£40 and there is a bus that will take you to Forres High Street from the airport.
By Train
We have a train station in Forres, which is about one and a half miles from the hotel. It is on the main Inverness to Aberdeen route and trains run regularly in both directions. There is a train station close to Aberdeen airport.
Local Taxi Numbers
Although there are usually a number of taxis at the train station for incoming trains it may be better to order one when you know what time your train will arrive. Inverness taxis are best used on runs from Inverness airport and will cost around £35-£40.
