Moray Speyside has the largest concentration of distilleries per square mile than anywhere in the world. It’s also the home of the Speyside Malt Whisky Trail.
So it’s no surprise that you’ll find an impressive choice of 40 malts, most notably populated by those from the local distillery Benromach, but also many others from Speyside, Highland and Islay.
Guests are welcome to use our homely bar-lounge to sit and chat, read a book, play some games, or catch up on your e-mails. It’s exclusive to residents and diners, and the ideal place to pore over the menu and whet the palate with an aperitif.
We have an extensive range of spirits, liqueurs, wines, draught lager and bitter as well as locally bottled craft beers.
If this is the first time you have indulged in a nip, Jules will be on hand to find a whisky to suit your taste.
We would also highly recommend a visit to Benromach distillery, just five minutes away. Forres’s only working distillery has a team of three people actually distilling the amber nectar. They have produced a range of impressions over the years and we currently stock nine of them in our bar so you could extend your tasting on your return from a tour of the distillery.
